The climate in a tropical rainforest is the main factor contributing to what makes the plant and animal life there so unique. The average rainfall in the rainforest is 50 to 260 inches of rain per year, making it a very wet and damp place. This also makes the tropical rainforest have a very high humidity, usually being between 77% and 88%. The average temperature ranges in the 80's but rarely gets higher than 93 degrees and rarely gets lower than 68 degrees, also contributing to the humidity factor. Combining the heat with the average rainfall, makes the humidity in the tropical rainforest very high. As so, it is usually very misty, as seen in the picture below.
